Nick Gianfortone began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2012 and quickly made a name for himself in competition. As a white belt, he won the IBJJF New York Open, showcasing his natural talent and dedication to the sport. As he progressed through the ranks, he continued to dominate, earning multiple titles at NAGA and US Grappling tournaments at blue belt, and securing victory in two US Grappling Submission-Only tournaments at purple belt.
Nick has trained under the prestigious Renzo Gracie and Royce Gracie lineages, learning from some of the most respected figures in the martial arts world. His commitment to growth and excellence culminated in 2025 when he was awarded his black belt by Nate Feldman.
With over a decade of experience in Jiu-Jitsu, Nick brings a wealth of technical knowledge and competition experience to Martial Arts and More of Wilmington. His teaching style emphasizes both the fundamentals and the strategic aspects of grappling, helping students develop a well-rounded and effective Jiu-Jitsu game.
Nick is passionate about sharing his love for the sport, whether training competitors for the highest levels or helping beginners build confidence on the mats. His experience, dedication, and deep understanding of Jiu-Jitsu make him a valuable part of the team.
